Pole House

The Great Ocean Road  Victoria  Australia  –  F2 Architecture

Great Ocean Road is one of the world’s great scenic destinations. Facing the Southern Ocean, Pole House seems to hover in mid-air, 40 metres above Fairhaven Beach. It was originally designed and built as a weekend retreat for a couple. It’s spacious for two, crowded for three. The design is open plan with a single dividing wall separating living and sleeping from the kitchen and entry.

While still privately owned, the home is now available for short stay vacations. Waking to the sound of crashing waves and opening your eyes to find yourself suspended above some of Australia’s most spectacular coastline in the country would certainly be an experience to remember.
