DIY House on Wheels

When well planned, a tiny home can have all the creature comforts in a very small space. It can even be on wheels just like this home!

This off-the-grid tiny house was built on a twin axle trailer with a rustic theme. The owner built it by setting up the frame in its final location, removing the wheels, before completing the building process. This would be wise to do if you plan to set it in one location for a long period of time — the wheels could simply be fitted for easier transport of the home when you choose to move it.

A rustic theme would require you to use a lot of timber which would make your home heavy. If you think your tiny home would be moved frequently, light materials should be used as much as possible.

What would you use this tiny house on wheels for? We’re thinking it would also make a great home office!
