At an elevation of 2,750 metres (9,000 ft), this isn’t a climate for the faint hearted.  But the spectacular views and 10 hectare (40 acre) homesite proved irresistible to the Winograds.  With the help of local craftsmen they sourced timber from a demolished tyre factory and a dairy and built their dream.
